I took the whole family to the New York City International Auto Show this year. We took the train in from Central New Jersey which puts us in Penn Station New York. We then walked a couple of blocks west to the Jacob Javitz Center where the show was held.
Focus RS Display
The first area we went to was the Ford Display, and the Mustang GT350 was prominent!

Next up in the Ford display was the GT, this kid wouldn’t get out of the way but the pictures are pretty good anyway.

The next car at Ford that I was interested in was the Focus RS, it was painted a light blue color and didn’t look too bad, but I would have preferred another color.

There was also a Focus ST on the floor that I liked, I’m sure there was a Fiesta ST but I did not see it due to the fact that the Ford display was a mad house.
Hyundai had a cool Accent rally car on the floor.
I am a fan of the Genesis coupe, this car has some serious bang for the buck on paper. I have never drove one but would like to one day.
The new Mazda Miata was on display as well.
Mazda also had a couple of race cars on display:
A visit to the Dodge camp was a must and they had all the muscle out on display. Both Hellcat vehicles as well as a Challenger TA concept and the infamous Viper.

The Inside Light Is The Cold Air Intake!
The Only VW’s at the show that I would be interested in was the GTI, which you couldn’t get near, the Golf R and the Concept Beetle R.
Beetle R Concept
Had to take a picture of the GT-R. I also took a pic of the new Maxima which did nothing for me…..
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible.
Rear View, That’s what we’re gonna see…..
The Porsche display was so packed you couldn’t even move. I managed to get a couple of shots of the new Boxter Spider and one good one of the Cayman GTS
The Best Shot I could get of the Cayman

Honda brought out there Formula 1 car as well as the new Civic concept. Not sure how exited I can get about a Civic but it looked pretty nice.

Toyota had two very cool cars on display. The one was the FT1 concept which i think we all hope will make it to prodction, and a drag sleeper Camry which was pretty cool.

I have a thing for the V series of Cadillac’s. I really like the new ATS-V cars. They have 455 Horsepower twin turbo six cylinders in them and look to be pretty awesome! I also like the CTS-V with it’s giant supercharged LSA engine. Unfortunately the best shot of the CTS-V I could get was of it’s rear end.
I really liked this Blue Sedan

Across from the Cadillac pavilion was the Audi’s. I really like the Audi as an everyday driver car. Most are four door and family friendly, plus there are the S models that kick ……

The Alfa Romeo display was right next to the Audi display and they had some of their racing history out to compliment the new 4C

Lexus had their GT3 race car prominently displayed at their booth. I’m sure the the RC street car was there as well but I did not see it.
The Acura NSX…….Followed by the ILX race car.
BMW had a lot of cars on display, all the M cars were covered in people wanting to get a look so I was unable to get any really good shots of them. However, they had a bunch of cool race cars in their racing heritage section that no one was even interested in. I was…..
2002 Race Car
M6, The only M car I could get a clear shot at!
Mercedes was a mob scene! These are the only pictures I could get of anything interesting. I was able to get two decent shots of the SLS.
Chevrolet had all the Camaro’s separate from the cars that were on display upstairs. They were downstairs near the trucks. This seemed weird until I saw all the tuner cars and customs next to them.
That was the end of the manufactures displays, the rest of the pictures are from custom builders or tuners. Their may be a few from some of the super car manufacturers but they were hard to get anywhere near so I took the best pictures I could.
Look at that engine!
That’s Not Stock!

They had a restoration shop on hand showing off their work

My Personal Favorite!
That’s it for the Pics, I hope most of them were good enough to give you a feel for the show. Some of them were a little fuzy, but I had my family in tow and sometimes it was difficult to get a good shot.
